Fertile eggs
FERTILITY: Our eggs are regularly hatched to ensure the fertility rate is above 90%, however extenuating circumstances such as weather and stress can effect fertility. The health and welfare of our breeding birds are our top priority, they are fed high quality feed and vitamins, allowed space to forage and kept with a rooster at all times.
HATCH RATE: The hatch rate of the eggs entirely depends on the incubator used and how the eggs are incubated. Humidity, temperature, weather, quality of the incubator, how the eggs were turned, and “Lockdown” conditions all have a huge effect on the success rate. For this reason, we can not guarantee any live chicks.
POSTAGE: Express Eggspress safe Postage is available for an extra $30, however pickup is preferred. We do not offer refund for any lost or damaged packages. It is recommended to locally source fertile eggs if possible, due to the effect that transit can have on viability.
QUALITY: We have sourced our breeding stock from reputable breeders and we breed as close to the current poultry standard as possible. We aim for the best quality birds however we do not wish to label our birds as “Show quality” as we do not breed for show or exhibit. We describe our birds as “Excellent backyard/pet quality”
Chicks
MINIMUM PURCHASE: we have a minimum order of three chicks if they are four weeks of age or less. This is because they naturally flock together for warmth and comfort, for company, and when they are stressed or frightened. It also aids in easier integration into your backyard coop.
CARING FOR CHICKS: In order to thrive, chicks require a warm and dry space with plenty of ventilation. They will also require a heat source until they are fully feathered and ready to be relocated to their outdoor space at around eight weeks old.
SEXING: All chicks 8 weeks of age or less are sold Unsexed
HEALTH: Our chicks will be checked for any deformities or abnormalities and health checked prior sale. However, we require the buyer to inspect chicks upon pick up as we are unable to take any responsibility, take it back or provide a refund once our birds leaves our property due to bio security reasons & many other variables.
